Regional Agenda

Each year, the Partnership collects and compiles the region’s priority Federal and State funding and policy requests on behalf of the cities of Buffalo and Niagara Falls and the counties of Erie and Niagara and our partners in various regional development sectors, and then leads the advocacy effort for the items included. The process has resulted in such successes as extensive funding for the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and the downtown Federal Courthouse, and retention of the Niagara Air Reserve Station.

  • 2002 - Funding for University at Buffalo's Center of Excellence
  • 2003 - Funding for Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus
  • 2004 - Funding for the reconstruction of the Erie Canal Harbor
  • 2005 - Preservation of the Niagara Falls Air Base
  • 2006 - Funding for improvements at Niagara Falls International Airport
  • 2007 - Funding for the downtown Buffalo Federal Courthouse
  • 2008 - Delay of the implementation of the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI)
