Demand Change in Erie County Government!

Whether you want to change the way county business is done, or want to influence who the county’s next elected officials are, the Partnership is the right place to get involved.

If politics are your interest, get active with the Partnership’s Government Affairs Committee (GAC), which advises the process of endorsing candidates whose platforms and legislative records best identify with the Partnership's NOW and Government Affairs Agenda priorities.  To participate, please email Anthony Armstrong at aarmstrong@thepartnership.org.

The Erie County Stabilization Project, the Partnership’s private-sector led, non-partisan and independent analysis of the county’s finances and services also seeks additional volunteers.   In particular, there is a need for individuals with expertise in public safety or health and human services, or with experience in records management, fleet services (auto), or purchasing.

Approximately 200 volunteers signed up to assist with the project, and are spending an average of two hours each week assessing how the county does business (via document and budget reviews, interviews with county officials, reviews of laws, mandates and procedures etc.) in order to develop specific recommendations for how Erie County government can provide services to county residents, now and in the future, in a more fiscally-responsible and effective manner.

If you’d like to help with the Erie County Stabilization Project, or for more information, please email BudgetVolunteers@thepartnership.org
