Q: What is your background in/what type of work were you in before the BNP?
A: Before the BNP, I was working as a Business Development Manager with Masis Staffing Solutions. In my role, I was responsible for client relationships, new contracts, maintaining existing business and safety tours for employees. I have always worked in Customer Service, with previous experience at Carte Blanche a local Hamburg NY restaurant and working for Buffalo State College while I was completing my Bachelor of Psychology degree with a Summa Cum Laude distinction.
Q: How did your past experience prepare you for your current role at BNP?
A: I understand how different industries operate, and the workforce challenges that they face due to my experience in staffing. Being an outgoing “people person” and critical thinker has made my professional experience very natural! I love to interact with people to make sure they are getting the full value experience of service and assistance. Helping people has always been a core value of mine.
Q: What inspired you to join the BNP team?
A: I was inspired to join the BNP team because of my love for Buffalo! I was raised here, plan to buy a home and start my own family in this city so I am extremely passionate about our future and growth.
Q: Tell us a little-known fact about yourself.
A: I am a very crafty person! I love to dry brush paint ceramics, often giving them away as gifts or saving for my future home. I also spend time doing cross stitch designs and using the Cricut for t-shirts or sticker projects. Charcuterie is my specialty, and frequently requested by family and friends at events.
Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: I love to travel and experience new destinations, typically via cruising. I have traveled to the Bahamas twice, and in May 2024 I will be travelling to Alaska, the trip of a lifetime! In my spare time at home, I like to play card games, spend time doing one of my many crafting hobbies, or taking hikes/long nature walks.
Q: Best Buffalo Hidden Gem?
A: The best hidden gem in Buffalo is Glenn Falls in Williamsville. The waterfall area is not huge, but it is incredibly beautiful. Sweet Jenny’s Ice Cream is within walking distance, a locally owned dessert shop. It is the perfect afternoon in the summer to enjoy!
Q: What is your favorite part about living in the Buffalo area?
A: I love the Buffalo area because we are a hot spot for events. Among musicians, comedians, county fairs, artists, craft/food events, concerts, sports teams there is something new to do at any given point in the year! My favorite part has to be the Buffalo Bills. My family gathers every week to watch the game together potluck style, during the season it is the highlight of our week.
Q: What do you like best about a hybrid work schedule?
A: A hybrid work schedule allows more free time in the morning and after work on remote days. Being able to sleep in a little later, walk outside during lunch, skip morning/afternoon traffic and start dinner earlier makes all the difference! Office days are perfect to catch up with coworkers on work/life balance.
